Abel’s Club Lambs is located in central Wisconsin. We started in the sheep business in 1995 with registered Suffolk and Hampshire flock. We now have a prestige commercial flock (Suffolk-Hampshire cross) of approximately forty ewes.
Our sons were involved in the market sale through 4-H and then later in FFA. We first purchased our lambs from the University of River Falls, and then started purchasing a couple of ewes and raising our own market lambs. Throughout the years we have purchased rams and ewe’s from the Huntrods in Iowa. Also, we recently purchased a ram from Thompson Club Lambs in Mabel, Minnesota. By doing this, we feel we have strengthen our flock.
Throughout the years, lambs of our flock have achieved many awards and accomplishments. We had Grand Champions, Reserve Grand Champions, and Grand Champion Carcass lambs. Also in 2008, we took our first ram lamb to the Wisconsin Ram Test and took the weight of gain of 1.22 lb./day.
We now have ewes, market lambs, and rams for sale. We have started selling packages of Gyro meat, chops, and leg of lamb to anyone who is interested. Please contact for availability of meat.
We welcome all visitors, but would appreciate a phone call.
